Sadness
« on: October 13, 2014, 08:49:33 am »
Just on the news last evening a Bee keeper bought a bit of commercial property near Flint Michigan a bit ago. He was killed some time Sunday. Probably some one that wanted to rob him as he sold honey from the property, had hives out back and stacks of honey supers in side.

They haven't released his name yet, Kare and I probably know him form the club meetings we attend.

No words suffice at a time like this.
“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”
― Shel Silverstein

As usual i'll probably catch some flack for this. but when i and alot of you were growing up we never heard of shootings and stabbings every night in town. I have put some thought into this and i think (jmho) alot of it was due to the Draft, :o. You had a choice, either join or get drafted , and the way things are looking we are in need of something besides a volunteer army that keeps getting redeployed. If you didn't have anything to do or know how to take care of yourself after you got out of school, Uncle Sam was there for you. People were more patriotic and family oriented then. It made men out of many that would have been in gangs jail or welfare. OK, i said it :o, now let me have it. ;D Jack

I'm afraid that quote should be generalized to, "what this world is coming to....." unfortunately, uninstigated crime is not a phenomenon of  the US only.

I'm not sure about the U.S., but here in Canada crime is down about 20%  from 30 years ago.  Interestingly, canadians on average think that crime is getting worse.   It's really just a matter of perception, because we hear about everything everywhere in the news.
My advice: worth price charged :)

Yes they released his name on the noon news yesterday. Name didn't ring a bell a face would though.

50 years ago we didn't have the drug problem in this country nor were jobs all that difficult to get by some one that wanted to work to earn some money.
None of that holds true today, plus a bunch of people want some thing for nothing. Just look at all the laywer ads on TV these days ready to sue some one for you.
