That is funny!

What lesson were they supposed to have learned?  Don't drive into telephone poles?  Don't wear bikini's in the car?

I love the regional accent.  Please, no offense meant, but I like that House becomes a two-syllable word in Tennessee.

Now that was a country boy.  i loved to hear him speak.

I made an order from Better Bee recently, and didn't know until they were on the phone that were located in New York.  The girl on the phone asked me if she could put me on the speaker.  There was no apparent reason for that, so I told her that was fine with me but that the listeners shouldn't be making fun of how their CUSTOMERS spoke.  She laughed and agreed and they did put me on the speaker.  We in West Texas speak sllllooooow, and we say Fanger instead of finger, and we say thank instead of think, and ranch instead of wrench, and we butcher the English Language.  So, I enjoyed the Tennessee speak, but I do not consider them lesser people.  The farmer was a hoot.

lazy

I guess the lesson was not to drive under the influence with a drunk woman passenger and run into a post near a bee colony.  I hope that lesson is not applicable to many of our fellow citizens.

25 years ago or so, I landed in Chicago O'Hare on business. I went to the info desk to find out where my rental car would be. The sweet young woman there proceeded to give me directions in hyper speed. I held up my hand and said, " Maam, I was born and raised in the Deep South, my mind is not capable of receiving info at the rate you can transmit it, please slow down." She giggled and shifted into slo-mo.

I probably gave her a story to tell.

I know there is a South Texas accent, although I no longer hear it.  Having been born in the Midwest, I was able to communicate easily with our first car that had OnStar.  My wife was not so fortunate.  She gave up after one incident in which she found herself travelling 60 miles an hour down the highway with her face three inches from the review mirror, shouting at OnStar, which couldn't decipher the number or word she was repeatedly yelling.

Les if you need an interpret with this guy you sure would have to have one with me, when I speak for I am as back wood as they come, when I was in electrical work and worked in NY I found out the people would start a conversation with me just to hear me talk, even though they didn't under stand a word I said, same with me I couldn't under stand them either.
