Feeding fondant (commercial)
« on: February 15, 2017, 03:46:58 pm »
When I feed fondant it is now much easier to buy it than make it.
I buy my purpose made fondant in 15 kilo (33 lb.) boxes for $29.50.

I then open up the plastic bag inside, and flip the block upside down and remove the bag and cardboard box.

I then use a hive tool and slice off blocks, wrap them in wax paper, and I'm done, just that quick and easy.

I go out to my hives, and any that need it, I just remove the center piece of my styrofoam insulation on top of my inner cover, I knick the wax paper to get the bees started, place the block over the inner cover hole, and I'm done.

It is an added expense, but it is CHEAP INSURANCE! All I need to do it keep one or two hives alive and it's paid for. :)
