Yes Tefer, I use a 3/4 inch space bottom board for the nucs..
Have an order for coats nucs (deeps) so built one to test the water before I committed..
if I could get the plywood already cut to 20" widths I dont think it would be any issue at all to build these things.. handling a 4x8 sheet is a royal PAIN even with the RAS..
I built a few with plywood sides earlier, but used boards for the ends and the frame rests.. Didnt like those much, dont think they will last, and now that I have built a plywood nuc, I am sure I dont like them, at least for what I would do with a nuc.. If these are used for selling as a nuc with bees, I think they might just work very nicely.. cost is just over 5 dollars without paint. If used to do splits and transport bees I think they would also work very well, they just wouldnt work to maintain and keep bees in over winter etc...
