Controlling Variables in Bee Experiments
« on: February 14, 2014, 07:29:09 am »
I believe that many of the highly contested issues in beekeeping are the result of weakly supported conclusions. I have read many reports and felt some highly relevant conditions had been overlooked; conditions that, in my thinking, should be matter of course; It could be oversight but my reaction is to suspect bias when I perceive this occurring.

What would be items you would list, to be crucial conditions to consider and record to give credibility of conclusions?

I agree Frank.  In scientific report writing, it is required that, at a minimum, all relevant variables at least be mentioned and the researcher's position on the how they were controlled for mentioned.  I, too, often come away from reading research papers with more questions than answers.
