Man, whatever I do, I can't let my boy see that second picture Robo. or it's all over!
-
Funny thing is, it didn't even happen while we where beekeeping. He was just outside playing and the two collided.
-
As a kid, climbing over fence rows, knocking down wasp nest for fishbait, shooting slingshots at nests, I had both eyes like that, I think, half the summer. Never did learn. Still carry 50/50 blood and venom in my system.

None of my girls were ever interested in the bees.
This is my youngest a couple of years ago, not too sure of holding the bees.

The most my 25 year old son has been interested in doing is cranking the extractor and licking his fingers. Of course, he was already in college when I started beekeeping.

Mine are not interested either, though my daughter has expressed interest in helping me this coming year NOW that I have ordered Ultra Breeze suits... She says watching me work the hives with no protection and bees crawling on me makes goosebumps run up her arms..
-
My son never displayed any fear of the bees until he took his first sting, right on top of his head. Hard to get him even thinking about bees anymore (except of course the money that comes in for jars of honey).

Perry that sounds like he needs to be in sales then! Next time send him to the farmers market to wait on all of that money to come flowing in

Perry will have to put some type of tracking device on him so he can catch him at the end of each day!!! ;D

Mine see me with no suit and come out with me and don't bother with the veil nether, the know if they remain calm the bees stay calm also, they get the occasional sting but it doesn't detour them.

Super Cool thread here. I can't wait to show pics of my granddaughter helping with the bees ;) 8)

I got to get my kid off his rear. His sister does everything and goes everywhere, while he watches TV. He has to be closing on 6’ and is growing so fast that I do not recognize who is raiding my cupboard.
My dad sent home a compound bow I need to get sized and arrows for, Jade is all over it but again, maybe a boot may get him in the correct direction.
I got a second suit and need help moving hives!
