First and foremost---we're glad to hear that you are recovered from your heart attacks and well enough to get back to bees.
Enjoy the action as a hobby and remember not to overdo it.
As my age creeps up on me, I find my body telling me to take it easy with the hives. This year I have seven, but when it came to taking off the spring honey, I decided to avoid the heavy lifting and took my full frames into the extracting room in a nucleus hive with only 3 or 4 frames inside. True, it means more trips back and forth, but I do it slowly. I also decided not to take off as much honey as I could have. Since I don't sell any, just distribute to family and friends, I don't succumb to the unnecessary pressure of wanting every drop I can get from the girls.
I guess that leaves them happier too, having more reserves inside the hive.
