Going to the chapel of love
« on: August 15, 2019, 11:36:02 am »
My son is getting married, on Saturday, to the girl of his dreams.  The bride and her family are from the Kobe, Japan area.  My son has been living there for over 4 years.
He met her in college and followed her home to finish college there.  Long distance wedding planning is tough.  I don't recommend it.  Her parents are wonderful and fortunately Mom speaks some English.  Dad doesn't.  He is a retired teacher at a sign language school, so his language skills are different.  The bride to be speaks English exceptionally well.  There are coming over for dinner tonight.  It's crunch time, so I will be absent from the forum for a few days.

Here is a picture of her teaching my dog to shake.  That dog worships her.

Congratulations! To both sets of parents and the happy couple!

Well it's been almost a week since the "big" wedding.  The bride and groom have returned home to Japan.  Her parents returned as well. My husband and I both went back to work Monday morning.  Boy am I pooped.  I am still getting phone calls from guests saying that they had such a good time.  The photographer has sent us a couple of files with the pictures and video.  When I get a few minutes I will set down and view them.  Lots of memories.
