i guess a good time to 'fire up' the good evening post.

many of you have been subject to all sorts of weather anomalies............hurricanes and torrential rains, etc.

this morning, we woke up to falling snow. we have experienced some real crazy temp swings in the past two months. from 90 dF to 30 dF, a great deal of rain and 2 weeks of rain now, a little break for a few days, and now this morning snow.  we totally missed any typical fall october warm weather in the 50's, 60's.  a hard frost hit last friday morning.  weather was not forecast for the snow this morning, and snowed lightly most of the day. temps didn't get much above 40 dF.....i need to move to warmer weather............ :D

wasn't prepared for the snow this early, normally i would ask the mister if he drug out the snow shovels and jinxed us......but he didn't. i had to locate a snow shovel to dig my grill out on the deck.  the weather forecast yesterday for today was to be in the 50's and cloudy, as i was wanting to grill/smoke a turkey breast. i did anyway, turned out pretty good, just extra time to locate a snow shovel............. :D

we 'fired' our hunter of 12 years........hard thing to do. 'hired' a new fella and his brother. turns out we now know one extra critter snacking on garden vegetables and pumpkins. other than deer, woodchucks, raccoons, a young bear caught on a deer cam.  at least my hives are protected!

Good idea, riverbee. That is firing up the Good Evening Post.   :D
Snow!  We might be snow today too!  The last time we had snow in October was before 2000.  We really had snow and ice that year with lots of power outages.
The new pup (1 1/2 yrs old) stuck his head out the door this morning and decided no thanks, maybe later.  Maybe he needs a little winter coat.  ;D  I guess I need to dig out a coat before I go to work this morning!

earliest snow for us since i don't remember.  i dislike it. a little later in the day, an explosion, (transformer i think), the lights flickered, went on and off, but we lost no power. sure not looking forward to anymore shoveling......or maybe i should say ANY SHOVELING.........

wow lee, i saved that recipe! that looks really good!

hmmm, lemme see.......can't decide if i should go with a low fat diet, a low carb diet, keep moving diet, or portion control diet?
portion control would not work for this recipe cuz these would disappear as soon as they came out of the oven............ :D

I think riverbee did a snow dance!  It's snowing, and we might get 2 inches.  Cut it out up there, riverbee!
