First year beekeeper
« on: June 18, 2015, 09:55:55 am »
Hello, I am a first year beekeeper and live in the center of Arkansas.  I am fortunate to have neighbors/friends who are accomplished at this craft.  Also very lucky they share their wealth of knowledge and bees including swarms, nucs and trapouts.  I currently have four colonies with two of them having two deeps and the others just in one box right now.  Received my first swarm April 21st and a nuc shortly thereafter.  I have made several mistakes and am sure there will be more to follow but am having a blast.  Where has this been all my life?

I think this calls for a welcome to 77 as well as a thank you to yankee for bringing him? It's nice to know our members are bringing the good folks in. We'll do our best to make them feel welcome and help with any problem they may come across.

I still can't believe there's a Yankee in Arkansas, but I am currently in Arkansas, so their entry rules are loose and easy.  :):)  Welcome aboard 77, you can learn a lot from Yankee.  Yankee is a neat freak and a get-her-done guy.  You are fortunate to be associated with him, and having four good colonies is a great start.  Again, welcome aboard, we're glad to have you.
