What ever you do when loading steel in a vise dont hit your thumb direct with the deadblow hammer while pounding part down in vise. The nails coming off that baby. Just Saying :'(

Yaaaouch!

As if that isn't painful enough,  every time you attempt to do something you bump it.    Hope the swelling and pain go quick, but that looks like a doosey that will be with you a few days.

Oh do I know how that hurt, have hit my left thumb so many times that it looks complete different than my right one. Be a week before your pain will subside with that one.

Oh.. man... my eyes watered......    When I do something of that nature I usually tie my hand to the headboard, keeps it higher than the rest of me.. seems to help with the throbbing.    jeez, don't even get me started on stories of blood and pain....

Nice work!  Now you've got to be careful.   It seems you can't help but bump it or hit it or do something to it for the next week or two.

I'm starting to think that the bees are keeping me...

My first thought was "why would I ever want to do that?"

Hope the pain subsides soon buddy.

Man I hope it was in a heated garage and not out in the COLD. Seems like the cold just amplifies the pain.

The best thing to do is peel the nail off with pliers, wash it with kerosene, rinse it with acetone and then pour apple cider vinegar on it. Then give yourself a dose of Castor Oil. Then soak it in turpentine and chug a pint of Jack Daniels. Once you get over all that, it'll feel better.

i bet it hurts when you forget and use it to hit the space bar on your key board..  I can sympathize with your pain. Hope you find a way to avoid bumping it often.

No No No...  CASTOR OIL FIRST, then, somewhere between ripping the nail off with the pliers, washing it in Kerosene or rinsing it with Acetone EVERYTHING comes squirting out the other end!!   Then when you have that all cleaned up and get to the JD you have mostly forgotten about how bad it hurts.    ;D ;D
