Walked out to a power line row about 50’ behind my hives and saw this.

Lastfling, I moved your post to this location as it seemed more appropriate.
Great pictures, Lastfling!  Thanks for posting.
Do you know which variety of Goldenrod that is?  There are about 200 varieties of Goldenrod across North America.  The goldenrod that flourishes here, in pastures and roadsides is not attractive to honey bees.  Stiff Goldenrod is and I am looking for some seeds.

These pictures are of Stiff Goldenrod.  I took these last Saturday.

No problem on the move.

I honestly have no idea as to type - maybe some research is needed on my part to figure that out .  LOL

lol, we have different types of goldenrod growing under power lines, a gas pipe line and other areas on our property. i have driven myself to drinkin' trying to figure out the varieties (long time ago)......
a friend of mine is a guru in horticulture, and had some help from the county extension agents and prairie restoration folks to help me identify.......all in all, we have all bee friendly goldenrod and that's all i care about.......... :D
sorry, can't remember what species they are !

btw bakers, awesome photos of the goldenrod!
