Very interesting Neil, thanks.
I saw this ad a couple of weeks ago and wondered what this product was as I had never heard of it before. I wonder if it is something I might look into? New Brunswick is the next province over from us.

It looks like it would be very useful in areas where it is necessary to insulate in the winter. I enjoy building my own equipment so I'm not very interested.

Our club has a community apiary, and one of the new keepers got an Apimaye hive.  He started the year a bit late, so he doesn't have bee's yet. Looking for a swarm.  He will have a lot of folks looking at this new hive.

I have seen a few new ideas for hives come up through the years...  I even tried a couple of them...  My biggest problem is usually with the plastic frames. They work wonderful for a few months, and then... they get hard to get out, and they flex a lot.  When I break an ear off, its not so hard to replace a wooden top bar, but its impossible to repair a plastic frame as strong as it was originally...   as strong as it was originally...  Originally....   I didn't watch the vid, are the frames standard size?
