Thanks for letting me join
I have my two hives built and ready, frames installed ready to be placed at the back of the property.
Last year, I started reading everything I could get my hands on, and watching videos on youtube.
Have read most of the Beekeepers Bible, as well as several books from Amazon. have collected all my bee keeping tools and bee suit.
I have hive top feeders.
But I am wondering, Do I feed Bee pro patties+, and Bee Healthy Honey Bee Feeding Stimulant in the sugar syrup at the same time?
I started this adventure about this time last year.
I live in Linden, Tennessee. My bees are coming from Mountain sweet honey company in Georgia, about 4 hours from here. I have 2 packages of I Italian Bees ordered last August.
I am SOO excited.

Welcome to the forum, I would only feed the sugar syrup with a table spoon of the bee healthy in the 1 to 1 sugar syrup at first to get them to draw comb and let the bees bring in the pollen.

:welcome: Glad you found us.
I agree with Ken. Also, if you have SHB in your area be careful with the pollen patties, SHB love them.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the adventure.
BTW: SHB = Small Hive Beetles

Welcome aboard Paw-Paw,
You've got the same first name my grandkids call me. :)

I cut my patties in half and cut the wax paper with my hive tool a few times on both sides. They willl eat it up before the Beatles have time to lay eggs in it. Hope you are using Beatle control such as Beatle jail baited with any cooking oil and vinegar. The sweet smell of vinegar draws them in and the oil drowns them.

paw-paw, what kebee said,
"I would only feed the sugar syrup with a table spoon of the bee healthy in the 1 to 1 sugar syrup at first to get them to draw comb and let the bees bring in the pollen."
your bees are arriving in packages, there is no need to supplement with bee pro patties. they will bring in the pollen they need, and also like ken suggested just a tablespoon of hbh to your syrup. when you hive them, feed, feed, feed if you are hiving them on undrawn comb until the comb is drawn. if you have drawn comb or some undrawn comb, feed them syrup until built up and/or stop taking. package bees do not have the work force initially to forage for pollen or nectar, so feeding them syrup gives a boost to help them out.
again welcome!
