Pollen and Nectar ~ Who eats which?
« on: July 31, 2018, 10:55:19 pm »
In the bee world, queens, drones, worker bees, nurse bees

Who eats nectar?
Who eats pollen?
Who eats the uncapped honey?

Can the queen eat nectar and pollen and honey?
Can the drones eat nectar, pollen and honey?
Workers and nurse bees, do they eat nectar, pollen, and honey?

WHO EATS WHAT?............. :D

okay, i will wade into this scientific question........ :D

jen, drones are fed but drones can and will consume uncapped/capped honey. i dunno about the pollen.
queens can feed themselves if need be.
worker bees, (foragers, guard bees, etc)  and nurse bees. the most important force in the hive. the nurse bees and worker bees need the nutrition in pollen and nectar/honey to feed one another and themselves, the queen, the drones and the developing bees in the hive. for sustenance, for health, for survival.
