Funday is a one day event for novice and skilled beekeepers, young and old.  This event will be hosted by the Northeastern Kansas Beekeepers Association, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, Lawrence, KS, on June 1, 2019.  Guest speakers will include Randy Oliver from Scientific Beekeeping, Katie Lee from the University of Minnesota Bee Squad, Judy Wu-Smart from the University of Nebraska Extension, Dr. Marion Ellis retired from the University of Nebraska Extension.  In the past there have been classes for youth, a swarm demonstration by Dr. Chip Taylor of Monarch Watch and University of Kansas Entomology Dept., homemade honey ice cream snack, and lunch.
