If you can make biscuits, you can make these scones.
3/4 cup whipping cream
2 T. honey
1 T. dried lavender buds
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 T. baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
6 T. cold butter cut into small pieces
1 egg
In a saucepan, heat the whipping cream, lavender and honey until steaming. Chill until cool.
In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
Wisk the egg into the cooled cream mixture. Pour the cream mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix with a fork until the flour in just wet. Don't over mix. Over mixing will cause tough scones.
Turn out on to a lightly floured surface. With hands, shape the dough into a rectangle or a circle. If you want rectangle scones, shape into a rectangle. If you want pie shaped scones, shape into a circle. Cut scones and place on an ungreased cookie sheet pan. Brush tops more whipping cream. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Serve warm with a drizzle of honey.
These scones aren't too sweet and I like how honey is the only sweetener used. I bet something could be substituted for the lavender, should you choose.

I was thinking you had a recipe that required lavender honey. Lavender honey is a very nice tasting honey if you have enough of it planted for the bees to store a surplus for you to extract,

Sorry to disappoint, apis. I do know a retired couple in central KS that have a lavender farm and have recently started beekeeping. I bet they have lavender honey.

I'll have to try these, heading out the door to grab some lavender!!

Don't pick it Les... Your taking away food from the bees mouth!!!

Apis.....it's only tablespoon. They aren't that interested in the lavender at the moment, they are too focused on the Anise Hyssop and Mountain Mint.

Just got back from judging and setting up for the fair. In the cooking with honey class "Uniced Loafs Made With Honey" there was an entry of a honey lavender loaf. It was really good.
