Please welcome bakersdozen as one of our new global moderators

:eusa_dance: :eusa_dance: :occasion14: :welcome:
Glad to have you as an Admin, Bakers!
Global Moderator ... Does this mean you need a passport now? Will you be making personal trips to Canada, Australia, Alaska, UK, Jerusalem, Texas (we claim to be our own country, you know) and any other place we have members?
-
OOOOOHHH! Great idea, Wandering Man. I need to go on a fact finding mission. (aka touring member's apiaries)
Actually, I hope to live up to the challenge. Riverbee, Riverrat, Perry and others have set the bar pretty high.

Congrats B12. You deserve it. PappyRick

It’s one of the great mysteries of life! What is the best and proper way to abbreviate her name?
Bakers
B12
B13
13
Dozen
Doze
Bakers12
Bakers13
Cookie
Others?
Considering her recent post about her hotel adventures, maybe we could just change her name to Bates Bait.
Whatever you call her, I’m really happy to have her as a moderator. She’s a knowledgeable and helpful beek who really does give us “a little something extra!”

wm, you are a funny guy! wasn't it you that started a poll sometime back on what bakers name ought to be?!............. :D
someone did, i will have to find it! or you can just start a new one........... :D
bakers, welcome to our team and congrats!
-
i found it! too funny!
Bakersdozen thread and poll (https://worldwidebeekeeping.com/forum/index.php?topic=6507.msg83047#msg83047)
that thread sorta backfired on you didn't it wm?!(members renaming you!)..........'rambling man', 'migratory dude' and 'moonbeam' ............ :D
"Poor Bakersdozen. She's chosen a name that's never gets abbreviated the same way twice. What abbreviation do you prefer?
This is a non binding vote. We don't have to start calling her the top choice."
now she is!................. :D

Congratulations B13,
Does this come with a travel allowance and per diem? :)

Lazy ...... Will you wear your baby costume for the spanking ?
-
Wait.... Now Mrs. River has someone to help spank me.... :-[
Let's see...now where did I put that paddle? The wooden one with the holes drilled in it!
This will tell you how old I am. When I was in high school, the football coach carried one of those around! That would be unheard of today. (Thank goodness!) :o
-
Congrats Bakersdozen. You have the knowledge and temperament for the job. ;)

In my school it was the mother superior-best if avoided.

No paddle in my day. In grade 3 I got called into the principal's office and Mrs. Tack (her real name, I never forgot it) thought she would show me how well the strap worked and proceeded to whup an over stuffed leather arm chair in her office about a half dozen times!
I was never in her office again. The only scars were mental ones! :o ;D :D
-
Congrats Baker, I am sure you will do an awesome job.
-
Fantastic Baker! Good move for the forum, and just in time for the spring rush ;D 8)

Jen has the correct way of looking at your appointment---the winner is the forum. Glad to have you raised to your new position. I'm sure you'll make us all proud to have you as another top member at the helm.

So true, so true.
-
Yep, we're all winners in this case.
Mrs. Fritchen BROKE her paddle on my behind in first grade. I was the local hero for a few days.
Principal in high school decided to try it because I got in a fight. I got two weeks vacation for hitting him when he came at me with his paddle. Dad was the one that broke his paddle when he came to pick me up. I was kinda hoping he would break it on the guys bald head, but he used the desk. Benefit? They never called "DAD" again when I got into fights. MOM on the other hand... had those glowy eyes.....

Belated congratulations B13,
You've always been there, so keep on keeping on .
