It had a pack rat in the cab guy thought it needed rewired.  How it kept from happened I don't know but the pack rat didn't touch any of the wiring.  I put a little gas in it and a battery and it fired right up.  Split rims have been swapped out with tubeless rims the same size as a school bus. Guy that helped tow it to the house services the buses he has a stack of tires that are not usable on a bus but fit this truck and they are in good shape. Price was right on them to. Come get them and I will mount them no charge

Got to LOVE free tires!!
Does that have the big vacuum boosters behind the seat?   I'm not a ford kind of guy but that thing is not rusted out at all.. thats REAL STEEL right there! Huckin wood over the sides will keep you in good shape!

Fuel tank is behind the seat.  AS for hunkin wood over the sides not happening. I have a skid loader to load.  With my arthritis in my shoulders and back unloading was getting the best of me so I picked up this little truck.  Not a ford man myself but for the price and condition I couldnt say no ;D

Definitely a nice score.

Well, looks like all ended well with the slight registration concerns.  Heck yeah that's a great deal for $325!

Got it all running and driving waiting for highway patrol vin inspection so I can title and tag it. So far all I am out of is a $40.00 electric fuel pump. Window on passenger side was gone took panel off it was off the track put it back in and got a window. It had a marine battery in it and it took a charge when I charged it. :)

Got it titled and tagged Highway patrol ran a check in all 50 states this truck has never been titled registered or tag in any state ever.  There wasn't no need to tag as it was on runways tarmacs its working life.  We are having trouble with the master cylinder and brake booster.  Both are obsolete and not made. I have looked around and think the truck center in Wichita will be able to cross it over to a newer booster and master cylinder that I can make brackets for.  When the truck is on and vacuum is hooked to the booster it sucks the brake to the floor. :o

Bad booster that mounted on firewall. You cant find them anywhere no one builds them for the big trucks anymore as they wasnt a good idea.  I ended up using a regular mastercylinder and hydro/vac booster off a 1975 f500 had to drill only 2 holes and rerun brake lines. IT has brakes now better than any old f600 i have ever driven ;D

Sweet deal! Sounds like that truck is in capable hands. RR's daily driver.  Next project will be scrounging AC parts from different vehicles and mounting them in Bertha!
