NICE! Your going to like that set up.
Lets see...  1 Pound = 453.59237 Grams. so 5 lbs will be..  2267.96 Grams, or enough to treat 1133 hives! Yah buddy, I think someone is planning on expanding!   :o

I just ordered more as well, same amount but think i paid about a dollar more than you did..   I split mine up into jars. Easy to remove the lid, easy to put the lid back on to keep it from drawing moisture. I think your gonna be a happy camper.

Ef says:  I'm on your bandwaggon.  Let's  see whose weather gets suitable first.  I'm waiting for the intense heat to wane.  Probably won't be "ready" till the first week of September or so.  (Besides, next week we're going away for a week's vacation.  :))

Brushymountain bee farm is the only company that has registered their oxalic acid to the state of Arkansas for use with honeybees.
They want $16.00 for just a very small amount that might do 8 or 10 hives.
But I've got to have that label.
I've got oxalic acid in a bag but I've got to purchase some to have that label.
That'll keep the inspectors off me.

WI hasn't officially given the nod, so at this point I don't care whose name I use to bleach the inside of my hives with

Iowa has given the nod, but NO ONE I can cantact will tell me WHO has the right to approve OA for use in a hive? Do I need to send samples to a Lab to check for purity etc? In the meantime, I typed up a label and stuck it on my bag of OA.. It says, approved for use in Honeybee hives for the treatment of Varroa Mites, and in small print it has lots of details and research links to different sites, and my name as the person who has approved it...

Looks like your weather became suitable first.  Here I'm still waiting for the temp to stay below 25 C (77 F) for 24 hours.  Our latest weather has been way above that--combined with a record breaking sand storm---never before recorded in September, coming from the direction of Syria (N.E) instead of the usual south west.  This is the third day of not being able to see the sun.  As the dust slowly settles, everything is covered with a fine dust.  There's going to be a lot of cleaning to do when it finally clears up-- the weathermen say another two days or so.
