New beekeeper in the arkansas ozarks
« on: July 04, 2015, 05:46:18 pm »
Hi my name is Neill and I live way back in the Ozark national forest. No huge farm crops for bees here. Only the flowers of the woods and a few fields.

To me that sounds like next door to the Garden of Eden.  Living inside a national forest must put you specially close to nature---the kind that hasn't been spoiled by people destroying nature as God gave it to us.
Sounds like an ideal setting for raising bees.  Just wait till you harvest your first "Natural Ozark Wild Flower Honey"  No monocultures, no sprays----  my mouth is already watering.
I hope we hear from you frequently.  And post pictures-----

Glad to have you. Pull up a chair and join in on the BS. That's "bee stuff", you know.  :D

:welcome: Neill you will so happy that you have become a member of this site.  Tons of knowledge, experience and a little bit of humor too.  Good luck into your foray with beekeeping.  I am a newbie too ......just installed my two hives the end of March 2015.  Your head will swim with questions and concerns but ask and someone will here will gladly help you out.  They have been a valuable assist for me.

Neill, I just watched one of your videos, the first package install. When I started to read about beekeeping 3 or 4 years ago, I didn't know yet that package bees were illegal in my neck of the woods! So all those hours spent watching videos of people installing their package bees were for naught ???
Anyway, welcome to the forum. Just today I had a beekeeping emergency/question and it was answered with lightening speed by Perry and Iddee  :)
