Bees walking into their new home

(1/1)

Wandering Man:
We pulled a colony out of one of our swarm traps yesterday.  We got the queen and most of her daughters into the nuc.

Here are the stragglers marching into their new home:

neillsayers:
That never ceases to amaze me. Lined up like little soldiers. :)

Wandering Man:
That's a new-fangled nuc.  It costs a couple of more dollars than the Jester EZ Nucs, but you don't spend 30 minutes trying to fold it into place.  The nuc doesn't come with a queen excluder.  I I cut a triangle out of one of my plastic queen excluders and slipped in between the "door" and the box.  The door holds in in place.

You can hear 3Reds in the background worrying about the foragers.  There were a lot of foragers hanging around the tree when I replaced the swarm trap.  I may retrieve them in a couple of days and set the entrance close to the nuc.

Think they'll go in?  Or will it have been too long?
