Victoria Texas
« on: September 12, 2018, 07:20:04 am »
Thanks you Paul for asking me down to Victoria to give a presentation to the bee club.  It was a long drive there and back and the rain did not make the drive seem any shorter.  I did have some technical difficulties in my presentation but one of the member gave me exact directly on how to remedy that problem....

Bee good and do good work....

January or February might be a good time for a Canadian to visit Texas.

Victoria is even better than College Station in winter.

Maybe not so good right now, as we anticipate the deluge of a tropical depression which may soon be followed by a Isaac.

Anyway, if there are any caravans heading this way, let me know.  I may want to come up to greet you.

as Paul said the topic was prepping for winter although we do not have much in the way of winter.  Thankfully one of that club's members gave me good instructions on how to remedy my technical presentation.  I have another presentation to do on nuc making at a local bee club 'bee school' in about a week so hopefully the same problem will not present itself again.

As we like to say in this household Texas is at the very center of the Universe and College Station is at the very center of Texas... and everyone is welcome here...

Yes!

Just don't plan the trip on a football weekend.  The Aggies are die-hard football fans.  They believe in "the 12th man", and every former Aggie believes s/he is the 12th man, standing by (true Aggies never sit during a football game), ready to run in to fill in for a fallen player.

Ooo ooo!  Road trip?

Oh yeah!  Gotta wait till I get the new engine in the camaro first..

THEN, I have a tractor trailer load of bees that once loaded HAS to make it there overnight! You drive the truck, I'll drive interference and keep Buford busy... no FIRECHICKEN on this trip!
