WHAT!! You were waiting for ME! I am humbled, and feel just a little special!  I just today, Sunday Dec 22nd, found this thread.

I looked at the pics and wondered "Eeeeewww! What the H E double L is That!" took a closer look to the left and saw web like structures. thought maybe wax moth. But I haven't dealt with wax moth yet except with some old frames that I purchased last year that I cleaned up and froze before using in my hive.

Hubby knows a bit about BT, it is a natural occuring baceria in the soil all over the world. It gets into the moths intestines, makes them rupture, causing death in two to five days. There are many varieties and they are insect specific. The wax moth uses the Aizawa variety. So you need to be careful not to use the wrong variety or it will target more than we want to kill in our hives.
