Hey, Jack

Here's what you do with apples.   ;D

12 quarts of canned apples, 8 pints and 2 half pints of apple jelly.

You folks must not have to make too many trips to the grocery store. :)

She peeled and cut. I packed and processed. I made the jelly from the peels and cores.

SHE CLEANED THE KITCHEN.

Sounds to me like Mrs. Iddee got the shaft!!!  Did you pack the apples in water, syrup or juice?

We pressed out 8 or 10 gallons of cider this year.  There's a couple gallons in the basement "working"  right now!  Just an experiment, we'll see what happens.

As i have stated many times, I'm the King and this is my Castle, Except the kitchen ;D, i'm allowed at the  kitchen table to eat only. Being the king i thought it was only right the Queen should have one room to call Hers. After my attempt to make a Pineapple upside down cake, that did :o and a little mishap at making Fondant in the kitchen, i have been bared from any type of cooking in her kitchen. :o She cans just about everything and the only thing she caned out of the apples was apple sauce, we still have several quarts os apples left from last year 8) When she cans things, she cans like the kids are still home and ends up sending cases of can good home with them, this time after the grand kids ate some of the Honey Crisp apples they came back and stocked up :D. I'm digging sweet potato's now and i might add that this is the latest i ever remember digging them ??? Been thinking sweet potato pie. ;D Jack

I thinks Mrs Iddee may be keeping Mr Iddee to well fed and spoiled..
Love the apple jelly have always made it with crab apples but using the peals and cores would produce the same great jelly. Thanks for the tip Iddee.
