Title: Days bee work
Post by: RAST on September 22, 2021, 06:05:55 pm
Two dry days in a row, last nights rain doesn't count. Concerned about food stores due to weather lockdown, I checked them today. Some of them really went through some honey stores. I put feeders on 4 out of 10 hives this afternoon. I really worked quick this morning checking and didn't prop any honey frames against the hive due to robbing.

'Tis the season' for robbing.  Good reminder that bees can starve at any time of the year.

My season in my location is over, 20 miles south of me they are bringing in Brazilian Pepper which can be a strong flow.
