Red berries?
« on: July 23, 2017, 11:14:01 am »
Out at the honey house lots of stuff is blooming.

The prior owners of the property live nearby and I let their grand kids come onto the property to eat these berries which seem to be in abundance. Any idea what they are and what they might be good for?

High bush cranberries?  Nanking cherries?  Ted

Red Currant. That is what they look like to me. They might mix in with honey to make a nice mead.

Baker is right, jelly!  I have a black currant bush but I never harvest, I leave the berries for the birds.....
Sorry neighbors
