Honey Fudge Pudding Cake
« on: August 06, 2017, 08:44:04 pm »
I found this is one of Kim Flottum's books, The Honey Handbook.  Super easy and very chocolaty.

Honey Fudge Pudding Cake
1 package (18.25 oz.) chocolate cake mix
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup water
1 cup honey
6-8 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

Heat the oven to 350 degrees or the temperature recommended on the cake mix.  Grease a 9x13 inch cake pan.  Mix the cake according to the package directions.  Add nuts to the batter and stir in.  Pour batter into the cake pan.  On the stove top, in a saucepan, combine the butter, water, and honey.  Heat to boiling.  Scatter the chocolate chips over the batter in the pan.  Pour the hot honey mix over all.  Bake for 45-50 minutes (add 5 minutes to the baking time on the cake mix package).  Test with a toothpick.  Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Come on over!  It's cooled off, but I can microwave it for a couple of seconds.  :D
