How many drone cells are you seeing, Mikey?  A small patch or large swaths of drone brood?
Last year I had a colony with drones in it in November.  November!  Yup, they were in queen trouble and they died out.

This hive has 3 - 10 deeps and a med.super.  Q has moved up to 2nd 10 and is laying 5 frames solid,  both sides (worker brood capped)  bees have filled bottom 10 (8 frames) with. 2/3 pollen, 1/3 nectar. In the 3rd 10 she has 2 frames in the middle 1-about 2/3 capped drone brood, 2 nd about 1/3 capped drone brood. I haven't seen this before especially this late in the year.
