Last year this time I was standing on the hill behind our house looking at two dead hives wondering what to do and where to get bees.......... Well after acquiring three weak nucs and a late strong nuc from our infamous Perry, I can stand on the hill today and look at four hives that appear to be prospering. Yeahhhhhhh!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

To be clear, I sold them the late strong nuc, not the 3 weak ones as well.
I'm glad your bees are off to a good start so far. Have you gone through them at all to assess wha'st going on inside? I have had a pull 2 nucs out of some of mine this past week they are so strong (I don't want to be chasing them in the trees). You may want to check out how packed they are getting soon.

I took a quick look this week and they still have lots of room. There actually a few frames in each upper that still do not have drawn comb, this is how they over wintered. None of them were bursting at the seams. I added my slatted racks, and took a quick look and things look good. Hopefully a sunny day next weekend and we will go through them top to bottom.
My apologies for not being totally clear. When I first asked Perry for nucs last year he already had them all spoken for, so I sourced three from another supplier and they were extremely weak. Later in the season Perry had one available so we purchased another. If you look at the 4th picture you will see the strongest hive of the four which was Perry's nuc.....

My apologies for not being totally clear.
I was pulling your leg. When I read it I realized what you were saying, but thought I would run with it cause it was there ;) ;D :D

40 Acre Bees, that 4th hive is strong because it's Perry blessed ;)
-
Ahhhhhhh Father Perry - Watches over his Flock (of Bees that is.)

Father Perry!!! :D :D :D :D

Now as I understand it, Perry's Queens dont lay any better than any other queen, he just puts perfume on them so the other bees nearby DRIFT to make his hives look better. Next time you get bees from him sniff closely!!!
I am of course pulling Perrys chain, just in case anyone took that seriously......

If perry is there when you sniff them make sure he's down wind
