kind of looks like it, hard to tell, not a clear enough pic.

I thought shb were more rounded and you really didn't see much of their legs. Looks about the right size though.

Boy I hope not......we found a bunch of them on the inner cover.
I saw someone use a swiffer cloth to catch them, was that a remedy or a way to count them?
Also does anyone have a remedy that's holistic?
Would their presence explain the dwv that I've observed?
Thanks for the input. I will see if the other photos look a little better to post.

It doesn't look like SHB to me. Too long. But if it is, then get the hive out of the shade and into full sun.

What Iddee said. My very first year I had one hive and it was in mostly shade. It was overrun with shb. I never could get control. Now my hives are in full sun and I might see one while doing a full inspection of 7 hives.

badgerbee....The deformed wing virus you mention is most likely caused by varroa mites.
