I've just seen it

Bees taking 2:1 in 40 degree weather with a freeze coming tonight. On 2 hives. packed owens corning pink around the feed jar on hive 1, as the screen on the migratory cover will keep the bees down inside. Used a flashlight when I lifted the jar off to remove it, and all the little bee mouths were right there and working.  Put the jar back on, packed it in owens corning pink and put the telescoping cover on the box.

Hive 2. jar pencil propped on top of inner cover, bees under it, on top of inner cover. No insulation added, couldn't figure out how, just left them  be, they are eating.

Didn't check hive 3. Temp tonight dropping to 27.  Not messing with them more. They are feeding, letting them feed.
