How I make my Queen Candy
« on: June 25, 2015, 10:36:21 pm »
Take a small bowl or dish and put confectioners sugar in it.
Make a cavity in the center.
Add Honey from one of your hives, that way you know it is disease free.
I take a butter knife and work the sugar into the honey.
Keep working it until you can knead it with your hands.
Keep kneading it until it makes a ball and it doesn't stick to your hands.
When it starts to feel dry knead it some more.
I then break of a chunk and roll it out in long rolls say 1/4 inch in diameter.
I then store it in zip lock bags in the refrigerator.
I feed all my queens this and put it in the queen cages. ;D

Thanks for the recipe! I don't know if I will ever be raising a lot of queens to need this, but good information in case!
