12 Gauge Bees
« on: May 04, 2015, 07:41:21 am »
Yesterday was a very interesting day in the bee yard.  I went out around 1:30 to check the hives and spotted a swarm high up in a pine tree.  I had to resort to some interesting tactics to get this one.  Hope you enjoy the video.

Interesting technique!  Sure-as-heck could never get away with doing that here in Mass!  Sure would be fun, though!

You just used the best tool available to get the job done.  If you were a couple of states north we could call that Yankee ingenuity.

Thank you!  We're out in the country so gun fire is a regular occurrence.  ;D  You know you're red neck if.....

I thought I'd better add in the disclaimer since that hole opened up in the middle of the swarm.   :o

Rrog! I'm a little speechless but amazed at the same time  :D The funniest part of this vid is when you're racking the shells into the chamber, and we cannot see you...  :D

So shotgun needs to be added to the swarm catcher toolbox...
