New beekeeper here. It's a little concerned it may be a little to cold for the bees, but I hope not. Looking forward to starting the adventure.

Welcome to the forum. As long as they have the food to consume They can create the heat. They keep the brood nest 95* F. This is why your brood nest is smaller than what the bees cluster.

Welcome upon joining us Tommy, :welcome: from across the "pond". Here there are some people who think it's too hot for beekeeping.
You can never please them all.

Welcome to the forum Tommy. You will find a lot of good advice from polite, friendly beekeepers. You Nova Scotia beekeepers are forming a good sized subset of our forum. I am fond of the Nova Scotia beekeepers, but one must take what Perry says with a grain of salt. :)
