Just a thought.  With bees in cluster during cold , can ants move in and go above cluster and eat honey-sugar boards?

If it's cold enough for the bees to cluster ants aren't usually moving much either.  MICE on the other hand... they will take full advantage of the situation if possible.

Our temperature has been swinging . And seen ant's,  so was wondering if it could happen?

I have problems with several varieties of ants here.. it seems Lazy observation is about the same as my own.

Ants are the primary reason I avoid candy boards...

Any ants I see are on top of the inner cover and a lite sprinkling of ground cinnamon on the inner cover gets rid of them.  Not sure why but it works for us.  Ted
