Has anyone made these?  Any recipe you'd recommend?

I've never had it or made it, but Petra Ahnert has a recipe for Cannele Bordelais in her book Beehive Alchemy.  According to her, they can be somewhat challenging to make, and it took her years to perfect her recipe.  It's pretty long, but I can post it if you want.

Let us know how it goes.  Maybe I'll give it a try (or convince my mom to ;)) if it goes well.

I asked a friend who was a professional baker about caneles several years ago.  The molds are very pricey and she didn't think they were worth the cost.  She convinced me not to bother.
