Most of the old time houses up here aren't insulated. 8 to 10 cord is not unheard of.

LOL  G.. I have had a couple of two wheel drive trucks.. I had to sell them, the wife seemed tohik that since they were TRUCKS they could go anywhere.. Youd be AMAZED at the places I have had to pull her out of!!!!   and they WILL quite litterally get stuck on a cow pie!!!!   I have seen my wife STUCK, in a perfectly flat yard.. with ONE wheel spinning in wet grass.. I kid you NOT!!!!!

Been there! I got an old 96 ford F250 with the 7.3, with the pipe rack and loaded with tools it weighs in at about 7,900 lbs. That is a bunch of weight for one wheel, especially that big ol diesel motor sitting on the front axle.

I know a bit late but Two ways to get out of mud or snow.

Get some long strips of carpet , they work wonders.

Lastly one of the best tips I ever got while trying to get a stuck tractor out , was to fasten a log about 6" longer than the diameter of the main wheels to each side , used chains to tighten it up  and it works like a paddle steamer ,

I am sure your wheels are wider than bodywork and a 2x4 chained /roped to wheels might have worked
