I'm not sure what to make of it, where to post it, or how far to projectile vomit.

If I was REALLY hungry.. theres probably not much I wouldn't eat.. including annoying neighbors..  but I'm not THAT hungry and don't plan on being that hungry any time soon.
Wife has had to tavel to China on business, and some of the courses they served were insects cooked up in a variety of ways...  I was sort of curious what they tasted like, if any were good, or if they all tasted bad.... but when I started to ask.. I got a cross between the LOOK, and a glare, with a little shock added in... so I guess she didn't try any of them :(

I ate fish and rice in 'nam after the fish had laid in the sun for 3 days, then cooked with the rice. I guess the larva wouldn't be too bad.

When I was over on Guam, they had a farmers market kind of thing. Us boys in the Seabees loved to go there to eat, it was cheap and filled you up, and tasted AMAZINGLY good...  Their fried rice and eggrolls were AMAZING and make my mouth water some 20 + years later. (Never mind!)
The week before our battalion was due to ship back to California the place was shut down because of the "meat" they were using..  I never did learn what kind of meat it was, and truth be told, I wouldn't have cared!!  If it tastes good, doesn't make me sick then I'm in!

I always shake my head at people who turn their noses up at pork.  What would they think about people eating insects?  Some folks, in this world, eat insects and are happy to have it.  We are mighty lucky to have all the food choices that we do.

A priest and a rabbi were at a wedding. They had pork, along with other meats. The priest jokingly asked the rabbi when he was going to taste the pork. It was delicious.

The rabbi replied,  "at your wedding".

Every spring the Entomology Department at Purdue University puts on the annual "Bug Bowl". This is something my daughter and I attend each year. The students and staff serve recipes and dishes made with bugs in them. I will admit I have had some pretty good food made with bugs but never wax moth.

Earthworm bread is said to be good. I've never had the chance to try it, but would.
