can virgin queens be direct released into hives or should they be put into release cages. hives were checked for queen cells.

in theory she should be fine, but as was mentioned elsewhere, might want to cage just to be safe. :yes:

Yeah... are they completely broodless? I'd do an inspection, make sure no new queen cells being fed, and put her in a cage with a marshmallow so she will be safe for a couple days before hitting the bigtime!
