I have tried catching drones and marking them. I usually end up harming or killing them... Not enough sensitivity in my fingers.. I cant tell how "hard" I am holding them. I envy anyone capable of holding a bee between their fingers without hurting it.

I find that having a few extra queens stashed away in nucs, takes away much of the anxiety of handling them. Smoking your bare hands, also helps with not getting stung.
