Howdy folks, retired country boy trying to get back to my "roots". Bees died about 6-7 yrs ago. Have cleaned the hives well, repainted, and ready for spring. Have spotted three wild hives (hope they are still there) and going after them in early spring. Have six raised beds, small orchard, thornless black berries, and vineyard. Need some pollinators badly. Thank you Wally for getting me signed up and look forward to learning from you guy's knowledge.
Live East of Charlotte, NC a few clicks. Out in the country(well, used to be) where the whip-o-wills still sing at night--and the coyotes howl--lol. Going to mount the NV on my "coyote" rifle and fix some of their problems.
Looking forward to learning "new bee keeping" from you experts. A bud nearby lost over 100 hives last year. He is down to 11 hives. Bud in Sun Valley seems to be doing great--he is doing something right. May be the absence of pesticides on farmland around him.
