Trap out acting weird
« on: July 01, 2015, 11:03:29 pm »
Iddee I have a question for you.
I have a trap out going and there are alot of bees in the box.
But the funnel was full of bees and when I took the funnel off the house they were 3 inches or so deep in the entrance.
I vacuumed what I could and merged those bees with another hive.
The question is why are the bees not coming out like they normally would?
Here is a picture of the bees.
I put the box in the V between the chimney and the roof.

I have seen the funnel full in only 2 situations.

When the exit gets plugged with dead bodies or collapses to the point they can't get out.

When the queen exits and they follow.

You may go back today and find they have absconded.
