Beehive at the garden, garden at the bee yard.

If any of you find it helpful, I've noticed that deer & rabits don't want to go near a garden if theres a beehive in it/while the weather is nice & things are growing.  Sure you have to wear your suit while you're tending the garden!!!  The best part with a suit at the garden, is that skeeters can't eat you alive!!!  It's a healthy balance of nature, what do you all think?...  It's easy to hang a beesuit up by the porch door for when you go in the back yard.

I had two hives at the garden two years ago. I got the first picking of peas, the deer got the rest, vines and all.

White tail or mule deer?  The white tails around my area hate bees in the summer.

iddee:
Don't have mule deer here. Only whitetail.

Not summer atm, but there are deer tracks all about the hives, will have to see if the deer stay clear of them when its warmer.
