Title: NOSEMA
Post by: Blair Sampson on May 11, 2017, 04:55:31 pm
Just discovered this today (see pic). Is this a sign of Nosema? If it is I would prefer to not treat, just let the bees and the warmer, dryer weather along with the sunshine take care of things. Is this a wise approach?

Blair,

I'm sure other Nova Scotian beeks will weigh in. If your weather is just now letting the bees fly it looks pretty mild to me. I've had hives in the first warm weather getting covered with bee poop stripes.

I agree with Neil, nothing serious, it will clear up as the weather cooperates.
