46!
Didn't know when AHB were released in Brazil so guessed at 19XX
Thought deep frame of honey was X-X pounds instead of X-X pounds
Got XXXXX method of rearing queens wrong
Forgot the fourth one I got wrong.
-
31/50, adequate keeper.....I will be interested in taking this as years pass on. I probably could have gained 5 or so questions right had I taken more time to think about the questions. Hard but cool test.

Thanks for two answers, Perry! ;)

Oooooops, I didn't think about that Bakersdozen, I am going to take care of that right now. Sorry! :-[
-
Ouch, 26, just better than average. But I'll admit I guessed at most of the answers
-
I am having a lot of trouble with my web browser not showing up web pages and I cannot get the test page to come up on this one either.
Ken

Ken, are you using firefox? You need to be. It's what everyone is going to. It works great on most things you want to do.
-
I use Google Chrome and it worked flawlessly.
-
I got 40 out of 50! surprised myself!
;D

38/50 formidable beekeeper ;)
proper spelling honeybee or honey bee
$$ value of pollination in USA
Questions like these are ... silly
-
I have a fear of tests, goes way back to elemetary school and old cranky scolding teachers. However! I'm going to take this test and use it as a tool to enhance my bee knowledge. But not today... maybe tomorrow :D

I agree, and also think they are way off on the temperature of heating honey that affects the taste and color......
It is a shame that they contaminated the question pool with trivial/useless information
-
36/50 formidable keeper.
Not terribly sure that I agree.
But it was a fun test to take.
-
I use Google Chrome and it worked flawlessly.
I haven't found anything better. But not to highjack the thread, I took the test again and move up to adequate beekeeper, 32/50.
-
I think it is more of a trivia and memory thing than actual beekeeping skills type test.
More fun than anything.
-
Very true Perry, but I did learn that EHB is not ropy, so it is educational! :)

Each time you take the test, the questions are different. There are only so many pertinent questions you can ask about bees. To get several sets of 50, there are going to be silly, opinionated, maybe a few absolutely wrong ones. One may ask something like what month do they swarm most. I bet Australia and Canada would argue heavily over the answer. It is just a fun thing, designed to educate. Those you agree with teach or confirm you. Those you don't agree with should send you researching.
-
39 and a 41. A lot of guesses on the trivia questions. Missed several questions I should have known and needed to have known. Got to do some homework now :-[ Nice test for self evaluation.
-
Modesty rules. I made some good guesses.
-
The more I took it the worse I got, should have quit while ahead. Those could go for a lot of things I have done :)
-
31/50 i still have a lot to learn and a long way to go!!
-
You scored 40/50 correctly.
Ranking: You are an excellent beekeeper.
-
40/50. I went back and counted about 38 questions that I thought I was sure about. 3 of the 38 surefire answers were wrong :o. The rest were a mixture of pickem' and "edjumacated" guesses.
-
29/50 I'll take it! Better than half . I didn't think I would get that much. Good test tho :) I knew there were many questions I just wouldn't know, like queen rearing, and stuff I haven't dealt with yet like nucs ~ I'll definately take it again ~
-
Change my IE, got tired of saying or complete stop out of a web page I was trying to get on, with that said I got a 30/50, I could have gotten a couple more if I read the question twice, LOL.

Exalted, I learned a lot form the misses :D
-
I would question some of the answers that they say is the right one. a question on how many frames of honey and pollen to produce a frame of brood a-1h 1p, b- 1/2h 1/2p, c- 1h 1/2p d- 1/2h 1p. their answer is 1 frame honey 1 frame pollen But the thing about bees is that they never fill a pollen frame cells to the top but only ever fill them 1/2 way so in terms of volume of pollen to honey the ratio would be 1 honey to 1/2 pollen.
-
43/50 - pretty good, I think.
-
30/50. I thought some of the questions, while neat to know, doesn't make me a better be keeper to know. I mean really if I don't know it I can always come here and get the answer, or at least I thought I could. I am the "threadkilla" so...
-
37 out of 50. Not bad for not getting my bees yet and only reading all your posts.
-
I would question some of the answers that they say is the right one......
I agree, but its fun anyway. The most misleading 'correct' answer was that you use TM-25 to 'treat' AFB. You may use it prophylactically, but NOT to treat active AFB, you burn it in the USA...right? ;) 43/50
-
I read all the posts---got a 31 out of 31. But after reading all about it, I chickened out of the quiz---at my age my memory ain't what it used to be. :-[
-
31 of 31 is 100%....just like your mentoring ways are helpful 100% of the time. Good going ef :)
-
47/50.
Non European terms didn't help!
-
47 is spectacular! :goodjob:
-
Briarfield, Welcome to the list of active posters. With a score like yours you must have a lot of information to contribute to the forum discussions. Please share it with us. :)
-
Thank you.
I suspect it's book knowledge. I am only in year 2.

We don't knock book knowledge here. Together with the practical knowledge of the art, it makes for great beekeepers and rapid advancement.
Keep with us.
-
The test has changed. Check it out.
-
Does knowing how many drone cells are in a linear inch make you a better beekeeper?
-
I took the beginner test 35 out of 50 says I am up to snuff......kind of comforting :)
-
Does knowing how many drone cells are in a linear inch make you a better beekeeper?
No, but it would tell me you're overthinking things a little too much!
-
Perry.....that is my nature in general.
-
31/50 Not to bad,beginners
-
33 out of 50. Not a bad start.
-
beginner 38/50 ...76% a C. Wow I have a lot to learn.
-
BUMP, BUMP This thing needs to come up to date. It's too much fun and too educational to let slide.
-
It's nice to have the beekeeping test back --BUT---it's WONDERFUL to see Iddee posting again.
Whoopie!!
-
Thanks, Ef. Good to be back.
