Beginning Beekeepers Class Lawrence, KS

Our local bee club is providing it's annual Beginning Beekeepers Class on the afternoons of March 3 and continuing on March 10.  The guest speaker on 3/10 will be Dr. Juliana Rangel, Texas A & M.  Other topics will be taught by local seasoned beekeepers.  Topics will focus on best beekeeping practices for our area.  Those topics include basic equipment, location, honey bee biology, Pests and diseases, ways to acquire bees, what does healthy look like/ how to read a frame, fall and winter management, etc.   To learn more visit www.nekba.org.

Sounds like a good class.

Be sure to have all the snow cleared away before Dr. Rangel arrives.
