   I was in the shop welding a trailer together for the pontoon...  wife came running in...
   "COME LOOK AT YOUR BEES!"
   My first thought was.. crap they are swarming....   I have managed to keep them from swarming this year, my hives are THICK with bees..
   So I go outside and walk around....  The four hives I can see are Literally covered with bees... bearding....  it was HOT today....  they were four layers deep across the front of the hive and two layers deep on both sides.   It does a heart good to see that many bees in a hive.  I need to pull the honey off of them soon... anyone else extracting yet?"

Sure, I'm up to 16 qts. already.  That's mostly blackberry honey.  I pulled my first sourwood two days ago, and it's sitting in my kitchen ready for extraction tomorrow.

i started but i'm nearly out of bee quick. pulled 12 supers off of 5 hives. have 38 more to pull from 18 hives. working at 6 a.m. cuz it's so dang hot. got up to 103* here today. i have an 18 year old that i'm mentoring doing the the heavy lifting. yes, there is a method to my madness.  ;D

Were actually going to do videos this year so your in luck Jaybird!   Going to happen in the next week...   thats the plan... but then you know the first thing out the window when the poop hits the fan is the plan......
