Title: Bees were all over this bush today
Post by: Bamabww on March 07, 2014, 09:27:35 pm
They weren't getting much but they were covering it up.  We're not sure what kind of bush this is either. Anyone have an idea?

Darwins Barberry?  Google it.  The leaves are like holly leaves, real distinctive.

Mahonia aquifolium.  Oregon Grape.  If it gets pea size purple berries from those blooms, it's Oregon Grape.

I am so jealous.  I'm going to have to pray for forgiveness for being so envious.

It is some kind of holly and the pictures are stunning.  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Dave, I believe that's it.  Appreciate all the compliments on the pictures. My first time to use my new iphone 5S camera. Looks like it's gonna be all right.

Thanks Wayne, I was beginning to think I had lost the name that plant game.  I was pretty sure that was it by comparing the leaves.
