Title: Mold on comb
Post by: Jen on March 22, 2014, 05:14:05 pm
Reorganizing the bee shed. I'm thinking the bees will clean up this mold. Tempted to push it out and let them start all over. Or throw it away, but I might the deep frame down the road...  ??

My bees don't seem to mind a little mold. Matter of fact, they seem to like it.
I used to soak moldy comb in bleach water before I put the frames back in the hives, but I got in a jam one day and had to use some moldy comb. They cleaned it right up.
